Ballinahinch Castle was suggested but it is booked and a bit posh for us. We are looking for more relaxed accommodation or B and B or farm stay for 2 rooms 8/19 and again 8/20 near Ma'am Cross/Oughterard and out to Clifden and south to ENNIS. We are driving the west coast.

Try posting on the Ireland thread, where you should get more replies.
Lots of possibilities, especially for B&Bs. We stayed at the Dolphin Beach Inn outside Clifden this past May, and it was quite peaceful and scenic, with views of the water. Oughterard is a pretty town, and should have possibilities. TripAdvisor and other sites have pretty accurate photos and reviews (take them with a grain of salt).
Doolin is tiny but has a few pubs with good music. Ennis is larger, but also a nice town.
The geographic area you mention is pretty large, so you should be able to find something comfortable and well located.
