Family Tours

My husband and I are considering taking one or more grandchildren on a RS Family tour. If anyone has been on one, how was it? What were the ages of the children? Did they seem to enjoy the experiences? How were the rooms set up? Did the children squabble with each other and ruin the experience? Were the children amenable to the walking and stairs without complaining?

It would be helpful if you would let us know the ages of the children. I have been on tours with teenagers, but not the specific family tours. The teenagers were bright and outgoing and really added to that particular tour.

Can't really answer on the family tours because we never took one, but my daughter took her first RS tour at 10 and my son was 14. It was a one city tour, Paris and it was a great way to get them used to travel and touring because half the time you can do your own touring. It sounds like your grandchildren are pretty young? All the tours do involve a lot of walking and standing.
Did you look at the scrapbooks? They might give you an idea of what the tours look like for the family. The family tours sound very interesting. Also if you are looking at a particular date the RS office might give you some insight on ages that have signed up.

My daughter is now going on her 6th RS tour this Oct. No longer a child but still loves the tours.
