Family Tour - Europe In 13 Days

My husband and I are interested in taking our daughter and granddaughter (9 Yrs Old) to this Tour next year. How is this Family Tour different from all the other Tours? Is it mainly focused for a younger crowd (ie: skip the museums in favor of boat rides)? Would anyone willing to share your experience with this Tour?

Hi Virginia,
My husband and I and our daughter and grandson (15 yrs old) took this tour last year. My husband and I have also been on several Rick Steves Tour.
To answer your question, Yes, the tour has a slightly different emphasis from other tours, but cultural sights are not ignored. The Family Tour has two guides, and adults and kids learn a lot and are engaged in activities. Others have suggested you read the itinerary as well as scrapbook. Great suggestions. I would also suggest reading the reviews listed with the tours.
Some of the highlights of the tour:
London: Tower of London; Florence: Accademia Gallery (Michelangelo's David)
There are a couple of "free" days on the tour. One in Levanto-Cinca Terra...same as on the Best of Italy in 17 Days tour and another in Wengen...same as the Germany, Austria, Switzerland Tour.
It was an incredible, well planned tour that held the interest of the young people as well as their parents and grandparents (us).
