Family Europe Tour Without A Family?

I love the itinerary of the London to Florence tour, but it would just be my husband and I. For anyone who has taken one of these tours: Would it be awkward for a couple to go on one of the family tours? I've been on a regular tour (and have another we're taking this summer), and am wondering how different the vibe is. It seems like it could be more fun, with an energy that comes from a younger-skewing group. But it is also possible that we'd just be the odd people out.

There is a scrapbook that was done in 2026, for a family that took that tour last year, the grandpa organized the trip and he did a great job of showing the entire tour.

Here is the URL to that, it may be a way to see for yourself.

I think if you enjoy children that you would have a great time, although there does seem to be a lot more geared toward entertaining them in particular, it looked very fun.

Oh, thank you Rachel. I couldn't book this if I wanted to! :( I'm bummed. That's such a great itinerary.

The 14 day Best of Europe is similar. Just start in London on your own and then take the tour.

Similar, but it skips the the thing that got me excited about the family tour - the day spent at the place where they are building a castle from the middle ages. But you're right. It is similar enough to still be worth considering.

I'm glad RS is proactive in protecting the children on these tours. Unfortunately, you have to be very diligent about the people who have access to your children.

Kathleen,
Paris and the Heart of France includes the castle, Guedelon, that is being built.

Kathleen, I too love the itinerary of the London to Florence tour, but we would be just be a couple. They had me at art class. Perhaps the possibility of a slower, less museum focused tour is the drawer.
RS please consider one of these tours for the young at heart.♥️

The recommended 14-day tour ends in Paris, where you could rent a car and visit the castle building site on your own. Looks to be less than 3 hours' drive from Paris.

I daresay that includes everyone not included in the tour party as well.

That said, for me in terms of rotten holidays, having ended up in the forced company of other peoples' children and teenagers was second only to having falling ill whilst abroad.
