Excitedly waiting!

Who else checks the forum daily to see when the 2023 RS tours will be released? Which one will you do?
We are doing Germany independently next year (sorry Rick), but hoping we can do an RS tour later in 2023. Top pick is probably VFR, since that one goes in November.

Oh gosh....yes, I want to do something! I'm doing a trip with former RS guide Mark Seymour's company next May which covers an area that Rick doesn't go to.

Not sure what looks good that I haven't done half of already, lol!! Maybe Sicily because, yes, November departures and I'm thinking it will be too hot for me otherwise!

Pam- I am going with Mark in about three weeks or so on the Scottish isles. What one are you doing next year.

Yes. We just got back from Best of South Italy. While there, we were discussing what our next trip might be, and two of our tour mates helped push us over the edge for the Best of Eastern France tour. We are very excited about it.

Kim! They sound like so much fun! I am doing the Northern England tour - starts in Harrogate and ends in York. I was a little worried about the activity level but Mark said as long as I could do a moderate Rick tour I'd be OK on his tours.

Did anyone notice that the webmaster referred to the release as happening in late June on a post yesterday? I did.

PS Tammy I admire your spirit. Even covid and quarantine travel hassles couldn't keep you down for long. You are already excited to go again!

No Carol, I did not see that post. Yes, despite Covid and masks and testing etc. still ready to go! We go to Amsterdam and Tanzania/Uganda in July!

Okay, I went back and found the post. The true wording was "later in June." Here is an excerpt from the Webmaster's post.

"Considering that entire itineraries sold out within days for 2022, at risk of sounding promotional, my recommendation if you're interested in an RS tour for 2023 is to register for a tour right away when they're released later in June, and take advantage of the cancellation policy so that you're not really paying for anything until 2023 requirements are more concrete."

I hope they come out before we leave for our RS BOEE in 2 weeks as we need specific times of the month. I'd hate to miss it while on tour.

We are looking forward to to our RSE Greece tour later this year and are excited to think about next year.

We are considering Sicily, Turkey, or one of the tours that includes Berlin. We’ve heard great things about all of them.

I, too, hope to go on a tour in 2023, but I won't get really excited until my September 2022 tour actually happens. Having 2020 cancelled and not being able to even sign up for one until this year I think has traumatized me (not seriously though as I realize this is a 1st world problem.) I have been watching the Mark Seymour tours also. They look great, but I worry there may be too much hiking for my poor old knees. Maybe this winter hospitals will be more normal and staff not so overworked and stressed and I will feel comfortable scheduling to get that 2nd new knee I really need. The delay in announcing 2023 may be they also feel they need more 2022 experience traveling in the new normal before they finalized their 2023 schedule.

I too can't wait for 2023 tours to post. But I want to wait to decide until after my September 2022 tour. By then I will know for sure where I want to go: GAS tour or Munich/Salzburg/Vienna or Berlin/Prague/Vienna or partly independent or all independent. Tour must be in June and end in Vienna so I can add more days there. Lots of choices. (June because I don't like cold or incessantly rainy weather; plus my annual insurances end the end of June.) If RS has the same liberal deposit refund policy, it will be tempting to sign up for one of the tours.
Other reason for waiting is my friend who wants to go is impacted a lot by inflation and may not be able to afford a trip. Although we'll have a conversation, it's too soon to ask her to make a decision.

Tammy, my partner and I were on the last "Best of England" tour of 2019. Mark Seymour was our RS tour guide and he was excellent. We learned that Mark's best friend is Jamie Blair Gould and coincidentally Jamie had been our tour guide in Italy on our previous RS tour! And....Mark's wife Toni is also a RS tour guide (not sure whether she and Jamie are still currently conducting RS tours).

Toni Seymour is currently our guide on the Eastern France tour, and a wonderful guide she is! We arrived in Chamonix today.

@Pam, can you share the link to Mark’s new company? ;) His wife Toni was our fabulous guide on The Loire to So. of France in 2013. Memorable Tour!
Edited to add: I found the link! Looks great
