We will be in Paris around the middle of October this year and I want to go to the Eiffel Tower. I will try to purchase tickets that will take us to the very top once they go on sale for October. Would also like to dine in one of the restaurants at the Eiffel Tower and this is where I am asking for advice/thoughts/reviews/opinions. Seems there are two, the Madame Brasserie and Jules Verne. Which would be your recommendation and why.

MB is more traditional; JV is more avant garde
If you get a reservation you should time it so you don't need to get tower tickets -- your reservation lets you go up the elevator early and do your selfies before you go inside the restaurant.
Note that other than being able to say that you enjoyed having dinner in the tower, there are many better dining experiences in the same price range all around the area, esp. towards Kleber metro.
