We've booked this trip for 2019 and are super excited about visiting Reims and the Champagne region. For anyone who has gone on this tour before, what champagne house/cellar did you visit? I know they like to sometimes keep these details a surprise but we're considering coming in a day early to Reims and really want to visit Veuve Cliquot, as it's a favorite for us. If we'll be visiting there with our tour group, then we'll check out another place...otherwise we'll be sure to visit VC on our own. Any insight or tips from past travelers would be great! Thanks.
It’s been several years since I took this tour but we went to Charles de Cazanove.
Moet et Chandon in Epernay takes you into their historic cellars that Napoleon visited, very interesting.
We did that tour in 2015 and did not visit Veuve Cliquot on the tour.
My 2016 RS tour visited the GH Martel & Co cellars.
Ours visited Martel, also. My favorite champagne is Taittinger. We had it with dinner one night in Reims and the dessert was a champagne cake, also (I could eat it every day) Have a great time, we really enjoyed this tour.

I did this tour a few weeks ago (it was fabulous) and we went to Pommery. If you call the office ahead of time, they will tell you which house you will be visiting with the tour so that you can arrange to visit another one in your spare time. Some people on our trip did that. Have fun!
We took this tour in September of 2017. Our group visited Martel. You will love this tour. It is a great mix of small unique towns. great wineries, great food, incredible mountains and Roman ruins. There is a really good scrapbook by Justin Field in 2014. You might check it out. It will get you pumped up and you'll be counting down the days until you leave.
Take the train to Epernay, you can visit several champagne houses in close proximity.
We just ended this tour yesterday and while in Reims, we visited the Pommery Champagne House as a group. We also tried to visit Martel on our own but it was closed. Pommery was beautiful with a nice tour of the caves and delicious champagne.
