Cordoba or Sevilla Spain. Preference?

What are your thoughts on extra nights before and/or after my Andalucia RS Tour starting April 20, 2025

I’m leaning towards Cordoba.

Cordoba and/or Sevilla?

We took the Best of Spain tour and never made it to Cordoba but I do know Sevilla was our very favorite city visited. Definitely arrive 2 days early, not just for jet lag but to see more of this beautiful city, 3 days would be even better. And I highly recommend staying at least one extra day at the end of every tour no matter which one you take. But I’m guessing more days in Cordoba would be an excellent plan.

Sevilla is wonderful and you could easily spend your extra days there. But, especially if you’re flying into Cordoba, stop there on the way to Sevilla on the train and enjoy some days in Cordoba. Be sure to purchase your Mezquita tickets way ahead on-line, and many of us suggest choosing one that has a tour included - not just the entry ticket. The evening walk out on the Roman bridge will give you a beautiful view of Cordoba lit at night.

Sevilla is way nicer than Cordoba. Cordoba is also a very doable day trip by direct train from Sevilla.

Hi, I just looked up your itinerary for the tour. And in that case, I would spend extra nights in Sevilla since you do have two nights already in Cordoba.

Which cities are you flying into and out of for this trip?

My husband and I traveled independently in Andalusia in. November and found Seville to be much more interesting than Cordoba, where we spent two nights. If I were planning again, I’d visit Cordoba as a day trip… it’s a 40-minute ride from Seville.

I’m staying in Cordoba three nights right now. This time I am at the H10 Palacio Colomera hotel, and it’s a gorgeous hotel at an excellent price! …at least in February. Select a balcony room on the Plaza de las Tendillas. A huge selection of beautiful food for their breakfast, also.

Tough decision, both are beautiful cities, Seville may have more to do. We did the Best of Andalusia in Oct 2024, it had 2 days in Cordoba at the beautiful H10 Palacio Colomera (best hotel of the tour) and 2 nights in Seville, we added another night as there was more to see. We flew in and out of Madrid and took the train to Cordoba and from Seville back to Madrid. (More flight options and better prices so I would definitely recommend Madrid as another option for a few nights.). We also did a night in Toledo (another great spot). Enjoy your trip!
