Chamonix to Geneva for 10 am flight

My Alps my way ends in Chamonix on Sunday July 16….my flight in Geneva is at 10am on Monday….

Would appreciate thoughts on how best to handle logistics

My inclination is get shuttle to Geneva on Sunday afternoon….if so I would like to stay at an airport hotel in Geneva….is anyone familiar with such?

A Hotel within walking distance of the downtown Geneva main station would be fine. Trains from there to the airport take 7 minutes and run frequently.

It really is 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.

You get a free ticket for all public transport in Geneva from your hotel.
So if you stay at the airport (there are a few hotels that are more or less
walkable from the terminal), it's easy and fast to get downtown and you are
right there for your flight.

But as noted already, there are plenty of hotels right at Cornavin (main
downtown station), and getting to the airport is trivial. And the area around
the station is just fine, unlike some other cities.

Airport hotels are likely to be less expensive than downtown Geneva hotels,
might be one consideration.

I was on the My way Alpine tour in June 2022 and we stayed 2 additional nights in Chamonix after the tour. Our flight home from Geneva was on a Sunday morning at 9:35am. We booked an Alpybus shared shuttle from our Chamonix hotel to GVA airport the morning of the flight and we had absolutely no problems. It was 42E/pp, and driving time was around~1.5hr. Our pickup was just before 6am from our Chamonix hotel, and there were still several stops to pickup others before we actually got on the road to Geneva. We arrived at the small Geneva airport in plenty of time as there are no checkin or security line issues.

We did the Alps tour last year and took a Mountain Drop Offs shared shuttle to the airport. We were catching a train so we took the train from the airport to the train station. I think I'd spend the night in Geneva. The shuttle went great, but they don't tell you a departure time until the night before even though you tell them what time you want to be there. I think I'd be stressing to much about getting there in time, but that's just me. The train from the train station in central Geneva to the airport was very short. I think you'd be able to stay downtown.
