Britain My Way

I would like to see a Great Britain My Way Tour, so you can see whatever you would like to see in London and then go on from there by train/taxi. That's how my mother traveled in and around Great Britain since she didn't want to try (rent a car) and drive on the left side of the road.

gwillis01, I think that's the way most folks on this Forum travel in Britain. Check out a couple of guidebooks, check your budget and calendar, then plot your course!

A RS my way tour to Britan would be a great addition to his catalogue of tours.

I think I might enjoy a Britain My Way tour. Bring it on, pls. Especially since in the slide on the Festival last night, travels to Britain were more numerous than to many other locations.

@Barbara, there may be options to view on video. Go to the Monday Night page. Might take a day or two. "Events" are taking place each day, so just sign up for others you like from now till next Monday - two drawings for 7 day city tours will take place then.

PS, maybe you already know this :-)

But that's not how a My Way tour operates. The tour is on a set schedule and set itinerary. You travel between destinations on a coach. The tour company arranges that and your hotels. The only real difference between a regular tour and a My Way tour is the latter doesn't include any sightseeing or meals (except breakfast.)

What you're describing is independent travel. Why would you need a tour company?

I agree with Frank, that’s independent travel. Just the vision of trying to get 28 people into taxi’s, what a nightmare! It was stressful as it was for our guide to make sure everyone and their luggage got on the train in York and off it in London.

I'm pretty sure that the OP didn't mean for everyone to take that literally......

RS Europe is pretty good at gauging demand and market. If they think that there is a market for this type of tour and the staff to support it, they might take you up on your idea.

If not, the UK is a very traveler friendly place to navigate on public transport and we have some amazing people here on the forum that can really help you when you need a little help on how to get from point A to point B.
