BOG tour hotels?

How were the chosen hotels for the Best of Germany tour-it looks like there is a total of 7 different ones! Were you happy with them? And..I know this is going to sound odd and of little importance to many..but...were there any shared bathrooms, or did you have all private during your tour? I realize with our current covid situation the hotels may differ by 2021 (hope to book when that schedule comes out), but if anyone has gone on this tour in the past, I'd love any hotel details you have to offer!

Thank you!

You can always call and ask the tour office questions like that. I was told the shared bathroom question was one of the most common they get.

AH ok-looks as though the BOG does not have shared bathroom listed under physical demands.
And, it's comforting to know I am not the only person inquiring or concerned with this...hahahaha

It is important to note that just because one occurrence of a tour used a specific set of hotels does not mean that any other one will use the same hotels. But since the sharing of a bathroom falls under "Physical Demands" and this tour does not mention that, you can be fairly sure you will not share.

OP- you will be fine.
There are 2 tours (maybe 1 other) where this can potentially occur. I’ve been there and it is a stunning location. RS calls it their “creaky chalet in the magnificent Lauterbrunnen Valley.” And even there it is not every room with the limitation, only a few. If your not doing a stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and your not, then not an issue.

On my Best of Scandinavia tour one small hotel in Aeroskobing had shared bathrooms. Half of the group stayed there, the other half nearby. It was absolutely not a big deal. In fact, the hotel was one of the nicest I've stayed in on my 12 RS tours.

Who would’ve known that the BOG thread would be all about Bogs.

I personally would have given a miss to a tour that was only about Bogs, fun as it might have been.

For those individuals unfamiliar with British English the word “bog” is slang for toilet

Nigel, that was what first popped into my brain when I read the title (i.e. toilets) and was wondering how I missed the announcement of RS adding such a tour. ;-)

@dfolson, same thought but I had heard it as Wesleyan Church.

I didn’t know about the toilets, but I honestly wondered who on earth would visit a peat swamp, let alone spend the night there.
Sometimes I amaze even myself.

Hahaha-this is great everyone! Thank you for the replies!
And, oh, if only there was a tour of actual bogs...I may be inclined to sign up for that! ;)

And, no, I had no idea the British English slang meaning of "bog". Ooops!
