BOE 21 day 8/20/23-9/9/23

Hello fellow travel peeps! I see that the tour for this date is almost full. My husband and I have reserved this tour and we are so excited! I am wondering if anyone else on this trip is busy scanning the Forum like I am. So many great tips. This is our first big trip and I am loving the planning phase. I have already "met" Larry B who is reserved for this same trip but would love to "meet" anyone else scheduled for this same trip. ps. I moved this post from the general Europe section as I thought this spot might be more appropriate. Thanks

Hi Jill, I too would love to hear from anyone else traveling with us on this awesome tour. I have also been busy planning our trip to the UK and Wales after our tour ends in Paris.

We did this tour last September/ October. It’s a fantastic tour with lots of activities. Our guide was Andy Steves. Tips: wear good shoes that are broken in. Lots of walking especially in Rome. When you land get some euros (coins) you will need them for the rest stops along the way- they charge 1 euro for bathroom use. Most if not all retailers and restaurants use Apple Pay or other electronic pay methods. Our tour started in Haarlem outside of Amsterdam. Make sure you explore this great town and check out the restaurants. You can do laundry in Cinque Terre and Florence. Don’t miss the last group dinner, it is a great time. Enjoy!!

Hello

Ray and I booked this tour along with two really great freinds Steve & Michelle. This will be Ray's first time in Europe. We booked The Grand Canal Boutique Hotel in Amsterdam 8/17-8/20 and Paris Chalgin Boutique Hotel 9/9-9/12. We are both from Washington and our friends are Canadian.

Wouldn't it be great if we could have RS as our tour guide?! Ray & Steve were in the same graduating class and will be celebrating their 50 year reunion this Sept!

Looking forward to a great time together!

Denise,
So happy to "meet" you. We are beyond excited! This is my husbands first time in Europe also and it has been 40years for me. I was on a whirlwind trip in high school. We don't arrive in Amsterdam until the 19th and we will be staying at our beginning hotel. Unfortunately, we leave right after the tour as we will have exhausted all vacation time from work. Otherwise, I would love to have another few days. Thank you for commenting. :) We look forward to meeting you all.
