BOE 14 Days July 8-21 Who’s going?

My wife and I are doing our first RS tour after years of watching the shows. Just wondering who might be going and where you’re from? Steilacoom, Washington here! Best of Europe 14 days, July 8-21

Enjoy not on your trip but we did this one in 2016. It was great. We found most tour buddies don’t even know about this forum and this tour more than others seems to get the first time RS tour people. On our tour we were the only ones that had taken other tours with RS before having done 4 RS tours before that tour. . We are now planning our 6th tour.

Thank you for replying LA. I only found the forum because I’ve spent so much time on this site learning and trying to get the best experience I can out of our first tour. Maybe some of our group will find it too! Enjoy your next trip!

There is a separate topic about the BOE tour a few down from yours. You might want to check it out.

Surfdog, the 14 Day BOE usually refers to the Best of Europe, not the Best of England.

Not on your tour, but my husband and I just returned from the BOE 14 Day tour from May 13-26 and it was fantastic! Also our first RS tour, but I don't think it will be our last! Great guide, driver, local guides, and 26 fellow tour members ranging from their 20s to possibly 80 (we are 58 and 60). No grumps on our tour. Very tiring, but we had an outstanding time. I "met" a fellow tour member on this board prior to our trip, but as mentioned by other posters, many were not aware of this forum. Enjoy! Wish I could go again!

Thank you for your reply Rachel. Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip so much. It just makes us wish the time would go faster to we can head out on our own adventure! We’ll be arriving and staying in London a couple days before we start and get 24 hours in Paris before the tour starts. Doing the Eiffel Tower at sunset before we begin the tour the next day. Tickets are already in hand. Managed an extra day in Rome at the end and have a trip to Amalfi Coast and Pompeii on our final Saturday. We’ll sleep when we get home!

Robinsonclan4, that's nice that you will be able to visit London first and also have 24 hours in Paris prior to the start of the tour. My husband couldn't get many extra days off, but we did arrive in Paris the day before and stayed in Rome the day the tour ended. The Eiffel Tower at sunset sounds wonderful. We didn't buy tickets ahead of time and instead wasted almost two hours in line just to climb the stairs! I had read that is usually a short line, but not that day. Also, it was cloudy and rainy during our stay in Paris; not ideal for the Eiffel Tower. Enjoyed it anyway. Hopefully you will have nice weather during your stay. On our extra day in Rome, we went to Ostia Antica, which has a lot of interesting ruins. It was a nice change of pace in that it wasn't crowded and we were able to take our time since we weren't on a tour schedule. A good way to end our trip. Would love to see the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii! I guess I'll just have to go back! :)

Ten days before the tour starts and six before heading to London. Anticipation is really starting to kick into high gear.

I just did this tour, April 29 to May 12, 2018. My first RS tour and first solo vacation and it was one of the best vacations I've ver had! You will love it and all the locations and hotels were great. I'm just about to book my second tour for next June, Village Italy...I hope it is as good as the Best of Europe!

I got to Paris a day early and added 2 extra nights to Rome. I have to say though, after most people left after breakfast on the last morning it felt very flat and quite having 2 more nights with only a few of us who had decided to stay longer. Our group had so much fun together it was hard to say good bye at the endf. My next trip I'll head straight home but get there a day or 2 early to adjust.

Have a great time...I know you will :)

Glad you had such a great time Lynn! We are starting our adventure today with a 3 hour delay on our Aer Lingus flight to Dublin. They say we can make it up in the air to make our connection to Heathrow. We’ll see. Can’t wait to meet our group!
