Is it easy to get transportation right from Lucca back to the Florence Airport? I believe it can be done via bus and also trail. Which way is easier...and which is quicker and more reliable?

A tool that comes in handy is the Rome2Rio website. It is a convenient way to get a sense of options and costs. https://www.rome2rio.com/
We were on this trip last year it was a great tour. We didn’t head to Florence immediately afterwards. I recall some people got a driver because they had an early flight. Some took the train. A couple days before the end of the Tour the RS Guide also had a form of “office hours” to answer questions and assist with suggestions on what worked best. Enjoy the Tour.

Several years ago, our Italian trip ended in Lucca. We took the bus to the airport at Pisa. From there, we flew to Germany (I think Munich), then on to the West Coast.

We just took this wonderful trip in October, and it was very easy to take a direct train from Lucca back to Florence. The train took about 2 hours. We stayed over an extra night in Florence and took a taxi to the airport early the next morning. It was all very easy.
