Best of the Adriatic Part 2

Day 10/11 Left Bosnia and made our way back to the Croatian coast. Took a lovely hour long sail from the mainland to the island of Korcula where we stayed two days. A wonderful place to relax and unwind for awhile. No group events planned in Korcula after our introductory walk. Went swimming in the hotel pool and in the Adriatic. The Adriatic was lovely, so easy to float!
Day 12 Left the island at a leisurely time then headed to a unique stop; Agrotourism Antunovic to visit their donkeys and then enjoy a delicious lunch together. Then on to Dubrovnik where we said goodbye to our amazing driver Jan. He handled all those winding roads with ease and kept us safe. After settling in to our hotel we had a nice overview of old town with our great guide Sanel then we were set free to enjoy ourselves.
Day 13 Local guide gave us a wonderful walking tour of the old town. Afternoon was free. It was very hot but we walked the old wall anyway; it was amazing and the views were incredible. Final group dinner that night.
Day 14 tour over after breakfast. My friend and I went to Montenegro for 5 days then to Budapest for 4 before heading home.
It was a great trip and tour. If anyone has any questions please reach out. Regina

Regina - thank you for taking the time to post your day to day experiences on the Adriatic tour. It is a very helpful post!

A few questions if you don't mind - We have an extra two nights after the tour, and then fly home from Dubrovnik. We are debating whether to just stay put and enjoy the extra time there, or whether to venture over to Montenegro, which I guess would just need to be a day trip. Your thoughts since you just finished the tour and went to Montenegro, would be appreciated.

And a couple more questions, did you find mosquitoes to be a problem at all? And if you recall, which city included a laundry stop?

Again, thanks for the great report!

Lisuza,
It was a great tour. We had a laundry stop in Split. Our tour guide included the stop on our introductory walk! We also washed out undies and socks and tops when we were in a spot for two nights.
We were there for a month; mid August to mid September. I think I got a few bites but nothing too bad, and mosquitoes usually love me!
I am torn on what to recommend for your last two days. I was glad we had a driver and tour guide. In all honesty I was not that impressed with Kotor; but it was very hot and lots of other tourists so maybe my opinion is a bit jaded. I really liked staying in Perast and our other four days in Montenegro.
If you are interested in a day tour into Montenegro you might consider contacting the travel agent we worked with. She was highly recommended by others on this forum and she was wonderful to work with.
If you decide to stay around Dubrovnik I think you will find plenty to do.
Happy travels. Regina

Sanel is a wonderful guide, and his personal experience as a survivor of the Bosnian War was very impactful. I would have liked more time in Bosnia also.

Thanks for the report.

Thanks for the review! We just booked this tour for October 2026. We’re 9 time RS veterans, but this will be our first time in that area. We’re looking forward to it!
