Best of Sicily in June- Do we need swimsuits?

Deposit down for a June BOSicily. How many opportunities will we get to use a bathing suit? If we do need one what recommendations for a lightweight women's do you have? I prefer (and others around me would too!) a one piece.

We did that tour last year. As I recall, there was only one place where you might want a swimsuit and that was in Taormina. There is a beach in Taormina but it is a really long haul to get there from the tour hotel.

I agree with Mary, there is only one place to swim, taking a swimsuit would just be extra baggage you don't need. We did this tour and it was one of our favorites, the experiences are wonderful.

I think when we took that tour, a couple of people went wading or swimming in Ortigia.

I agree with the others that you probably won’t have a chance to swim. But if you want to get a new swimsuit, try Lands End. They have many, many styles, colors and designs.

As Jane said, Ortigia would be the easiest spot to swim while on the tour, although the only swimmers and sunbathers we saw in September were using a large platform over rocks rather than a beach. After the tour, we spent four days in Cefalù and enjoyed the beach and swimming there.

I was on this tour in June 2022. I took a swimsuit I never wore; however, one family enjoyed swimming in Siracusa and Taormina. Have a great time. It will be warm!

Thanks all! Think I will save the space and not take a suit--I can always wade in a skirt and or capris!.
