Best of Scandinavia - how were the hotels?

We are considering this tour in ‘25. We’ve been on several RS tours, which we’ve enjoyed. My husband’s only issue/concern has to do with some of the hotels chosen. He’s more into comfort than charm. Any thoughts you can share as to the quality of the hotels chosen on this tour would be greatly appreciated.

I took this tour in 2018. All of the hotels were great, centrally located, comfortable, with A/C, heat, heated towel racks, umbrellas for guests to use, GREAT breakfasts. A couple of the hotels had irons and ironing boards in the rooms. The only one that was sub-par was the 1-night hotel stay in the Jotunheimen mountains. A bit old and musty. This was the only hotel that had wi-fi ONLY in the common room.

We did this tour in 2022 and it is excellent! The Hotels are very good with Aero Island being our favorite. The Rustic Mountain hotel is old and creaky but the food was the best on the entire tour and the Mountain scenery was awesome. Trust me, your husband will have such a good experience on the tour the hotels will not be a factor.

For those chiming in, did you have to share a bathroom in any of your accomodations?

Went on this tour in May/June 2023. 5 of us stayed at the Andelen guesthouse on Æro, and we had 2 large bathrooms to share. It worked out just fine, we all had different schedules and there were no issues. Staying at Andelen was the highlight of my trip.

Otherwise, the hotels were great, no problems.
