Best of Rome post tour

Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any suggestions what cities to add on after the RS best of Rome tour ends? I’ll have about 3-4 days afterwards and was thinking Florence or Florence/Venice. Never been to Italy, and the trip is in February. Thanks!

Fun! You can take a high speed train to Florence from Rome. It’s fast and easy. Ive not been to Venice, so I wont comment on Venice. There is plenty to do in Florence. Depending on schedules, you may be able to do a day trip to Sienna from Florence. Book tickets in advance to attractions.

What do you like to do? Florence has the wonderful art museums. I do highly recommend going to Sienna. Or you could go south to Naples and see Pompeii
We have enjoyed the Rome city tour a while back. We went between Christmas and New Years.

Are you flying home from Rome?

With just 3-4 days, I would tend not to split the time between Florence and Venice. Daytime temperatures would probably be noticeably warmer in Florence (though probably no warm), and I'd expect to spend more time outdoors in Venice, just walking around.

Since I have a strong preference for not-chilly weather, I'd actually head to Naples, but I think I'm in the minority there.
