Looking to hear from anyone who arrived a few days early for their tour and took a trip from Ennis up to Doolin to catch the ferry to the Aran Islands.
I will be on the 7 day Ireland tour early October. I looked into going to Doolin from Ennis. There are buses, but the first bus leaves at 10:30 am. It just would not work for a morning ferry to the Aran Islands. I think the only way to do it is to take the train to Galway or perhaps even spend the night in Galway. I decided to spend my extra days in Dublin. My thoughts October weather could be iffy for a trip to the islands.
Hi! Did not do this tour but sharing my experience going to the Atan Islands. It's a full day trip. We flew from just outside of Galway which was fun and took the ferry back and got to see the cliffs of Mohr from the ferry. When you're on the Aran Islands recommend renting a bike to get around. Lots of fun! Note the plane is reliant on good weather!
