Best of Europe Tour May 24 – June 13

Our group of four is booked in for this tour. We received the start and finish hotels but haven't yet booked our extra days. After the tour we are headed to London for a few days.

I hope it is alright to pop in to this thread even tho I am not on your tour.

Pamela, I encourage you to book your extra days soon as the beginning hotel will fill up. They often have tours departing the day another tour starts. In Paris it's not so bad as there are likely many hotels in the area where your ending hotel is located.

Are you planning to go via Eurostar from Paris to London? If so start looking at the Eurostar prices and book them as soon as they become available for the cheapest fares. I don't remember how many days out you can book, possibly 120 days but I am not sure. Find that out and do a reminder for yourself to book around that time.

By the way, I've been told by the RS office that when a tour shows it is "filling fast" there are only 5 or 6 spots available. Not that that makes any difference, but it is nice to know how many have signed up for it!

I also encourage the people traveling with others to split up some for the group meals. It will help you to get to know everyone else!

Our family of four is booked on this tour - 2 parents, an 18 year old and a 21 year old. This is our first R.S. tour, and the first trip to Europe for the "kids". One of the reasons I chose this tour was the stop in Florence to see Renaissance Art and sculpture we have only read about. Any itinerary I considered without Florence was nixed by the rest of the family! The main add-on during free time that I am considering is a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower, even though there is not a lot of free time in Paris and we will not be staying extra nights there.
