Best of England 16-29 June Tour Docs are In!

I usually stay off the internet on Sundays, but since I've been sniffing around hoping for our tour docs, I cheated a bit and peeked at the website to see if they had magically appeared, and there they were!

Our guide is Deborah Heyburn. There are 26 people on the tour, 12 couples and two singles. As usual, folk are from all over the US: Florida, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Washington, California, and Texas. And Oklahoma, of course!

Fun ahead for all!

Isn't day you get the tour docs just the best. I am always so excited to see the variety of places come from. I've done this tour and, of course, England is always great.

Jane, how exciting! Is there a portal or something where you check for you tour docs? Just curious. :-)

How exciting!!
You will love this tour! We took the RS Best of England tour several years ago and had a great time!
I hope you have given yourselves an extra day in Bath before the start of the tour.
Bath has some great sights and activities not covered by the tour.
Great restaurants in Bath, too.
Favorite: The Scallop Shell; best fish and chips ever.
Most unusual: Sally Lunn's Buns for lunch in an ancient house.

Our favorite part of the tour were the castles in Wales--Conwy and Caernarfon.
The Lake District was amazing, too.
Bath, Wells, the Cotswolds--all amazing.
Hadrian's Wall and York--both amazing.
OK, this is just an excellent tour, every day of it!!
You are in for a real treat!!

Mardee, just go into your tour account here on the website. They usually appear a few days prior to the date they told you on your confirmation.

Tammy and CL, enough with the trip reports, already! Sheesh.

Mardee, Laurie Beth has it right; fine "My Account" at the top right corner of your screen, then click on tour account, and scroll down to View and Manage Tour," and finally, "Documents."

The tour roster and hotel list seem to be available about 5 days before the posted date.

And yes, we are definitely looking forward to seeing more of England. And a wee bit of Wales, as well.

Oh, and Rebecca, we are heading to Bath a couple of days early, so will enjoy some of the places you mentioned.

Laurie Beth, I don't have a tour account. I have never taken a RS tour, but would certainly consider it for the future. I was just curious.

Ahh, that explains it. I have taken 10 of Rick's tours. I usually embed them in the middle of my trip. Such as last year. I flew to Paris, stayed a couple days, took train to Chartres to meet the tour, but came a couple days early. At end of tour in Nice I took train back to Provence to see in more depth and then took TGV to CDG airport to come home. I like both travel independently & a few days with fellow travelers. For me, it is the best of both worlds.

Laurie Beth, that's what we've been doing since we took our first RSE tour in 2009. It works for us! We've been able to take longer trips the last few years, but we still stick to the same pattern.

Laurie Beth and Jane, I think that's what I would like to do if I signed up a tour. Good idea!

Kim, Friday! Yikes! Yes, no France this year, but 2025... Taking a Mark Seymour tour with a couple of the usual suspects. I'm hoping to squeeze in a week or more in Paris, bien sûr!
