Best of Eastern Europe Lake Bled to Ljubljana time line & shuttle question

We are booked on the June 10th-23rd Best of Eastern Europe tour. It seems tour members leave Lake Bled on the day the tour ends for Ljubljana which I understand is 30 minutes away. We are 2 families (5 adults) who plan on using a private shuttle from Ljubljana to Venice June 23rd. It's in our best interest to book shuttle transport sooner rather than later. We would like to see a bit of Ljubljana and still get to Venice by 5:00PM. We really don't have a sense if this is a realistic plan or not. If it is we have no idea where we should consider booking the shuttle to pick us up. Any suggestions on a time line and/or shuttle stop location would be appreciated. Also has anyone had recent experience using the GoOpti shuttle service. Thank you JoAnn

JoAnn, after reading positive reviews we chose to reserve a shared van with GoOpti. We are booked for September to transfer from Venice>Ljubljana. We leave from Piazzale Roma and wil be dropped off at the main rail station in Ljubljana. We purchased our tickets last November and with a minimal charge for luggage it came to €52 for the two of us. Their website is user friendly and informative. They also service the airports as well.

Is the Tour spending an afternoon in Ljubljana? When I was on the 16 day tour a few years ago, Ljubljana was an added 1/2 day (from Lake Bled), so my spending an extra night in Ljubljana was overkill.

We did this tour in June 2016 and the tour did spend a half day in Ljubljana before reaching Lake Bled, but I know they did chop one day off of this tour the next year so,perhaps that half day in Ljubljana is no longer included. I think a phone call to the RS office would answer that question. Now on to the Go,Opti option. It worked perfectly for us as I assume you know the train/bus connections to Venice were time consuming and confusing. We found it very easy to meet our GoOpti van at the Lake Bled bus station, a short walk from our hotel, no taxi necessary. We then met up with 4 additional, passengers in Ljubljana and then motored on to Venice. The driver dropped us off right at the ferry. Couldn't be easier! Definitely will use it again as it saved so much time for Venice. But FYI when we got to Venice, we really missed our EE tour guide (Esther)! Enjoy, enjoy! Fabulous tour!
