A great tour guide needs to possess the qualities of a historian, storyteller, logistician, leader, humourist and the patience of a saint. On our recent trip to Spain, we had the wonderful good fortune of having James Scanlan assigned as our guide. He was outstanding and performed his responsibilities to the highest of standards. It is because of people like James that we love Rick Steves Tours so much. He’s passionate about what he does and truly wants all participants to have the best holiday possible. There was not a moment he didn’t make himself available to anyone that had a question or needed assistance. Thank you, James, you’re a great person and an amazing tour guide. You were terrific.
