Best of Adriatic - spring or fall?

I think we're finally going to go on the Best of Adriatic tour in 2026 after cancelling it twice due to COVID and then a knee replacement (we've been on other RS tours in the interim). For those that have been to Slovenia/Croatia do you prefer mid-May, late-May into early June or mid-September? Hoping to avoid the peak crowds and have weather that allows eating dinner outside.

Yes I've looked at old posts, asked ChatGBT, etc. and looked at accuweather historical weather calendars.

We were there mid-to-late May 2025 and ate outside many times. We also wore rain gear several times. However, things were not crowded and the few places we ran into crowds, the guides knew how to minimize the impact.

I was on this trip in mid May 3 years ago and it was nice weather-wise, not very hot, and definitely not as crowded as it would be in another month or so. There were lots of flowers and greenery and it was a very nice time to be there. Enjoy this tour - it was wonderful!

I think I’d do either mid-May or mid-September. It’s really hot in June in Croatia.

Agree with above poster. We did it in June 2023 and at times melted. Never thought I'd spend a precious afternoon in Dubrovnik in a hotel pool, but I did. As did most of our tour mates.

Nevertheless, it remains one of our best trips ever.
