Hi im gonna be visiting Rome at the end of September. I have 6 days in the city. Does anyone have any ideas which are the best tours around rome and reliable tour companies?

We were in Rome for 5 days last September and had several excellent tours with Katie Parla. She has website, Katie Parla's Rome, and does walking tours, really knows the history, helps with getting taxis, and has several tours featuring food and drink. She can arrange a tour to your interests.

Rick's guidebooks covering Rome recommend several types of local guides (but this info is much abbreviated in the Pocket Guide). Another company recommended for walking tours is www.enjoyrome.com. Don't forget to download Rick's free audio tours for Italian cities or Audio Europe mobile app.
