Anyone signed up for the June 4-19 Villages Tour?

My sister and I are taking our first RS tour and our first trip to Europe in many years. We are planning on spending a couple of days in Venice initially and then make our way back to Venice at the end of the tour by way of Verona. We added two days on both the front and end of the tour.

Dbelladee, my husband I took the village Italy tour last summer. It was wonderful... We too stayed a couple days in Venice before it started. You will enjoy it so much.. RS has everything so well planned ..our tour guide was outstanding. It was a great tour with just enough free time and not many hours on the bus. The hotels were great... I can't say enough good things about RS and Tricia, our tour guide.. So far we have been on 2 RS and loved both of them. We met the nicest people.
Enjoy Venice. When we were there it was high 90s so hot. If you have change take the bar crawl tour and the back streets of Venice tour. Everyone raves about them.. Rick recommends them in his book. We bought the Venice tour book. At the time of our tours the books were included..(Not Venice because it wasn't on the tour)
Enjoy..I am excited for you..

I agree with Sue, this is a fun tour! I did it in 2014 and had a great time. The only mistake I made in planning was not giving myself an extra night in Padova on the front end. If you are staying several days in Venice at the end, then consider going out to Padova the day before the tour starts. There was a lot we did not see there because I had us staying in Venice and going to Padova the morning the tour started.

Have a marvelous time!

Thank you both for your replies. I am already making some adjustments to make more time in Padova.

I'm on the June 6 - 19 Village Italy tour, with my husband. Is this what you're going on?

Sue
Do you recall the bar tour you used in Venice? That sounds like a lot of fun.

We enjoyed Alessandro Schezzini's cicchetti tour/pub crawl in September. He's fun, knowledgeable, and gracious. We weren't able to go on his walking tour (that precedes the bar tour) because of a time issue, but we really wish we had been able to add that time with him as well. His contact is [email protected].
