I'm excited about our upcoming trip (our 5th RS tour, and our 4th in Italy) and it would be nice to connect if anyone else on the tour is reading these message boards. I realize this is usually a futile attempt - only once has someone actually responded to this type of request in our previous 4 trips, but it can't hurt to try.

Hi, Tony: I think we've "pre-met" tour mates on three or four of the RS tours we've taken, and it's always fun.
We've taken the Village Italy tour, and I just wanted to tell you what a treat is in store for you. Of the 19 RS tours we've taken, VI may well be my favorite. It's in the top 2 or 3, for sure.

Jane, thanks for your encouragement! I had not previously considered Village Italy because of the overlap with the Best of Italy tour, but when I was glancing at the brochure (the small one that describes all the tours) last year I noticed that the tour stopped in Ravenna and it made me sit up and take notice, so to speak. (I didn't think any RS tours went to Ravenna.). When I looked more closely at the tour, I realized that although many of the regions are overlapped, they were mostly different activities and different locations. (Assisi being one of the few repeats.). Reading so many positive comments about this tour (it seems to be the favorite, although Eastern France also gets a lot of positives) made me even more interested.
Horsewoofie, I haven't always been great at writing trip reports, but I'll try to make a special effort after this tour. You are always welcome to reach out to me directly if you have any specific questions.

Going on the Villages of Italy Sept 21 - Oct 4 trip and all the wonderful reviews have me very excited!
Tony….. That’s the one tour Ron and I keep saying we really should get back into touring again and do. Please let us know your thoughts on it when you get back. I hope you guys have a terrific time….Margie

We will be on this tour on May 4th. This will be our first RS tour having done a lot of traveling independently. We no longer want to drive in Italy. It should be fun.
Village Italy was my 4th RS tour which I completed in May 2023 and it was so fantastic! Often felt like there were no other tourists around with the smaller locations. Enjoy!
