Anyone on the Berlin, Prague, Vienna Tour 8/20-8/31

I know from experience that this is a long shot, but...anyone booked on this tour? This will be our 2nd RS tour and I'd love to visit with anyone who is on this tour, or frankly anyone who has been on this tour before.

I did this tour last year and loved it. Our guide (jana hronkova) was fantastic. Loved all the local guides but our guide in Berlin was amazing. Her knowledge of history and her own family experiences through WWII and the cold war was chilling at times to hear. Make sure you do the optional experiences. Had a enjoyable evening when we went out in Prague to listen to a jazz band and the rafting trip through Pesky Krumlov was so much fun.

Louise,
You will love this tour! I went in June 2015 and Jana was our main guide, too. Originally I was not interested in Berlin but went because I wanted to see Prague and Vienna. But, as it turned out, Berlin was my favorite city of the tour, so much history, culture and art! I have fond memories of my tour mates, too.

I don't understand why more people on the tours don't know about the Forum.

Enjoy!

Hello Louise,
I'll be joining you on the Aug. 20 BPV! This will be my 3rd Rick Steves Tour and my roomie's 2nd.
We are both very excited for this trip. I still need to spend some time investigating extra sites to see. Have you decided on ways to fill the downtime? I'd love to share ideas.

Hi Abbe - Nice to meet you! My DH and I (both early 50's) will be taking this tour with our two young adult daughters (ages 18 and 21 - they'll be going into their freshman and senior years of college in the fall, respectively). It will be our 2nd RS tour (we did the 14 day BOE in 2015), but we've traveled several times to Europe on our own - using Rick's books of course - and our daughters are even more well-traveled than we are. My older daughter has been to all of the continents except Antarctica and South America, while I can only count North America, Europe and Asia among my travels!. We really enjoyed the camaraderie of our RS group on the BOE trip and are looking forward to meeting our tourmates for this trip as well. We are actually flying to Krakow for 3 days pre-tour, then meeting up with the tour in Berlin on the 20th. I'm a planner, so have already made some plans for downtime (including a lunch and tour of the Reichstag in Berlin, a food tour in Prague on one of our free nights, and a Mozart concert on our free evening in Vienna). Happy to share details with you if you'd like. Feel free to message me privately if you'd prefer. I'm looking forward to meeting you!

I'm another one who is going on the September 10-22 tour. I'm getting excited.

I appreciate your post Louise, as it has given me some ideas for free time and given me a bit of a push to start researching (like the Mozart concert in Vienna). Thank You. Sorry we will miss you, but I hope you have a great time. For those of you posting here who will be on my tour I can't wait to meet you. It is going to be great.
