Wondering if anyone has take the Portugal tour. What was your overall opinion? Were there too many religious sites? Hotels - were they living up to your expectations? Portuguese food- mainly fish or lots of choices? Any special stops that made the tours special?

I did the RS Portugal Tour in 2013 and it was fabulous. I did the single supplement and my hotel rooms were the best of any RS tour that I have taken. Food was excellent and prices were very good. Go several days before the tour starts in Lisbon and take the train to Sintra for the day. The Lisbon RS Hotel was really beautiful. Lisbon is a wonderful city and easy to navigate. Wear really good traction shoes as all the sidewalks and streets are tiles and cobblestones which get very slick if wet. I don't think there were that many religious sites. Nazare along the coast was a favorite stop. Fado concerts were also one of my favorite things. The other standout day was the trip to the Cork farm where we had a standout meal and visit with the family on their beautiful estate.

Thank you Kathleen, loved your opinion. I am scheduled on an upcoming Portugal tour as a single supplement traveler. Loved your shoe traction tip too!
