Any one else on the Best of Spain Oct 6th Tour?

Wonder how much effort is needed for RS to set up a voluntary 'opt in' option when someone books a tour to share a first name and email address with everyone else on that tour?

Mark is only the latest in a long line of folks to try to connect with tour mates before the tour and likely be with the vast majority of outcomes where the other tour members are not likely to be aware of this forum.

While on the tour, If someone (other than the guide) makes the suggestion, everyone has the option to write their names and contact info down before the tour is over. We've been on 3 tours and as a total group people don't really stay in touch. (At least that's our experience.) Though individuals may click and stay connected. We have stayed in contact with a few folks we've met along the way, but after the fact.

Given the amount of times we've seen participants post interest in linking up with others signed on for the same tours, I wonder if HQ could provide them a link to the forum when they forward tour confirmation and any other initial details? Participation would be completely optional, of course, and how many personal details a participant wishes to provide is up to them.

Just noodling as we hear that so many RS tour-takers are not aware that the forum even exists. Aside from making possible connections with others sharing the same adventures, it can be so useful for questions they may have that aren't easily answered in a book: a good addition to their trip-planning toolboxes?

On our first two trips back in 2017 and 2018 our tour guides provide contact information for all members of the tour. Then I guess some folks objected to this practice. So on most of our tours I have volunteered to create the list. Anyone who does not want to be on the list does not have to sign up. Not a lot of folks do stay in touch we have had some who we have stayed in touch over the years and have even gone on other tours with us.

On another note I see our tour roster and hotel list is out a day early.
