Another Best of Italy tour question

The itinerary for our BOI indicates that the Pantheon is included in the tour of Rome "when available". I know that the RS crew will do everything they can to ensure that we see it, but I do not want to miss out. For those of you who have been on this tour or are otherwise familiar with Rome, should I purchase a skip-the-line ticket in advance of our tour to make sure we get a visit?

I would have a very high level of confidence that you will go to the Pantheon as part of your tour. The website says it is open every day of the year except, Jan 1, Aug 15, and December 25th. It also notes that there may be occasional schedule changes due to religious celebrations. I think that is why they put the "when available" tag on there. They want you to know that they plan to go there, but if the Pantheon itself suddenly changes the hours, there is little that they can do.

I would not buy additional tickets.........

I was on this tour and we visited the Pantheon so I agree with Carol. You can count on it but there could be exceptions as with any other site.

We did not get to see it in late June BOI tour. It wd have been a Sunday, but sorry, I can’t recall why we didn’t get to visit. We went to forum and colosseum and a few other sites that first day. Vatican museums and St. Peter’s (via back door) on the second day. Enjoy!!!
