Andalucia in 10 Days

I’m looking forward to going on this tour starting September 24. Flying into Sevilla on the 22nd and taking the train to Cordoba. My concern is this- can I buy a high speed train ticket when I arrive at the train station, or do I really have to buy it online? I’m an over-planner and always do things ahead of time, but I don’t want to miss a train, or sit around Seville train station for hours. Any advice.

There are plenty of trains going from Seville to Cordoba. You don't need to buy it in advance online.
Some on the route are slower (by only 20 to30 minutes) MD (medium distance regional) trains which never sell out.
Take time to look at the schedule for the day you plan to travel and you will see 2-4 trains an hour operate on that route:

If you know you'll be traveling straight back to Madrid or other major city on the day the tour ends, that's a ticket I would buy in advance. There's a potential for significant savings if you buy early. If you wait until the day of travel or perhaps even the day before, you could find a lot of the trains sold out. (I bet the situation is worse around holidays.)
Sold out express trains do happen in Spain,
