We are doing the 1 week Ireland tour and want to stay another 4 days somewhere in Ireland. Any ideas?
It would help to know whether you have been to Ireland before, what time of year you'll be there, what your interests are, who comprises "we," what airport you're flying home from, etc.
That said, it's my understanding is that the tour ends in Dublin. I would be easy enough to stay on in Dublin, as there is a lot to see and do there and several excellent day trips (Newgrange among them). It's also easy to get from Dublin to just about anywhere in Ireland, including Belfast and the rest of Northern Ireland.
Thanks. My spouse and I.
It has been 40 years since I’ve been to Ireland.
Early September is preferred. I have not put down deposit for RS tour yet.
Would like to attend the Armagh Food and Cider Festival 2026 but can’t find date yet.
Considering staying in Belfast or somewhere near Armagh and Belfast for the four days after the Rick Steve tour.
We had only two full days. One we went on the very full day tour of Northern Island. Highly recommend and the other we did museums we did not do on our tour. Great tour by the way.
Would you mind sharing the tour company you used for that day tour?
Wild Rovers was the tour company. Our RS guide suggested them. They were very good. If you use them it will be a full bus so get there early for best seats. I am very prone to car sickness so key to me. Loved the black cab tour provided and the Giants Causeway.
