I’m curious when 2027 trips will be posted. Specifically the 13 day family tour from London to Florence.
I believe the new tours start to show up in mid-April. So, a few months yet. Someone here will usually announce it.
Hi! Jumping in here to give the answer straight from the source :)
2027 tours will likely be available for booking starting in mid-April, 2026, following our recent pattern. I got the information that advertising is not allowed on this forum and that this forum is not for business and profiteering. But maybe I didn't understand it right?
Hi rei.beate, This is the Rick Steves Travel Forum. He can promote his business as it’s his website. It is outsiders that are not allowed to advertise. And we here appreciate this forum rule as the site is not cluttered with ads.
rei.beate, to add....
Marta has an RS-in-a-blue-circle logo next to her name. That means she's a Rick Steves staff member. She, as well as any of the rest of us, are OK to promote Rick's books and tours 'cause they're paying the bill for us to be able to cheerfully hang out with each other on the forums :O)
We're also allowed to recommend hotels we've stayed in, day tours we've taken, restaurants we've eaten at, and services we've used as long as they're not owned/operated BY us. Those recos need to preferably be from posters with other content on the site to questions anyone may have so as to avoid any unsolicited recos from a business or one-and-done posters who've been paid/asked to do so. A better explanation about that from our trusty Webmaster here:
Hope this helps!
Hi, rei.beate. Welcome to the forum. This forum exists primarily to allow for discussion and advice regarding travel. It is owned by Rick Steves, a European travel "guru" in the United States who has a tv show on public television in the US about travel, produces written guides about European travel that promote independent travel, and offers tours in Europe for those who want a group tour experience. There is one area of the forum where people can ask questions about Rick's tours and can try to connect with others on their tour. A RS person will occasionally pop on to answer a tour question.
I love this forum. It has virtually no ads (the exception is a tiny banner during Christmas season that promotes discounts in the Rick Steves online store). Given the number of users, Rick could easily monetize it with ads, but he chooses not to do so, instead offering an uncluttered place to discuss travel. It is a very, very generous gift to all of us.
