Thanks for the heads up!!
Thanks for the heads up! Decisions, decisions….
Has anyone noticed any significant differences from 2025 tours?
The ones I briefly looked at are $200 more per tour. The new single supplement $ is posted to each.
I didn’t take time to look for changes within the tours.
EDIT to calculate the new single supplement: # of tour days X $50 = single supplement. It is NOT calculated on the number of nights. The last day is breakfast only. I’m not complaining because the new single supplement is cheaper than years past.
Yay! I'm already trying to fit the Village Italy tour in with another (not Rick) tour we're doing in late May, 2026. With time for Venice in-between... Yep, need to go stare at a calendar. (And our bankbook, lol.)
I see Sicily is an extra day.
Just signed up for 2 tours. Book now and get early booking discount.
We want to do the Istanbul city tour. Will sign up in the next few days.
Once again I've booked a tour on the first day.
This is the first time I'm booking while on a tour.
I noticed there are less Fall date options for the My Way Alpine Tour for 2026 compared to 2025. I just emailed the office to see if all dates are posted, or if more will be added.
How do you receive an early booking discount?
"How do you receive an early booking discount?"
The discount gets automatically applied to your invoice upon receiving tour/participant confirmation, as do (if applicable) tour alum discounts.
Great, thanks Matt! This will be my first time signing up for a tour. So, it’s all very unfamiliar to me.
Glad to help, Carrie. Happy travels!
Interesting that the tour I looked at, Best of Italy, the single supplement is 75.00 more than last year. And appears to be 50.00 times the number of tour days vs nights.
Carol, there were a few policy changes for the 2026 tours, and the single supplement is one of them.
Starting with 2026 tours, a solo traveler will always need to book a
private single room — and pay a single supplement — rather than having
the option to save money by being paired off with a fellow solo
traveler in a shared room. We’re calculating the Single Supplement fee
at a flat $50 per day and subsidizing the actual cost to make it more
affordable.
More details here:
Just signed up for Village Italy in May! Whoop!
It's not the full schedule is it? I see only 7 dates for the Poland tour in 2026, versus 20 in 2025. So assuming more to come.
Rick mentioned on the Monday night zoom, that it was a soft opening yesterday, and the big announcement would be Thursday. He said they do 1200 tours a year. Which makes it funny when some people ask me if Rick leads the tours himself.
The Village Italy toured changed a little bit. Instead of Lake Orta it goes to Modena at the end of the tour.
Not sure about the other tours, but this is what the office had to say about the my way alps dates:
We may very well add more MyWay Alpine dates, but that will depend on
demand. At this time we cannot be sure if, or how many, additional
dates will be released. If demand is there we will likely release
more. You could sign up for the best date that works for you now, and
potentially transfer if other dates open at a later time.
Ah, I missed that. I went ahead and signed up for a Village Italy tour date that works with our schedule, but is not optimal. I just checked the dates for 2025, and there's a tour that, if the pattern repeats next year, would be better, starting just a few days before the one I selected.
I'll keep an eye on the tour schedule, and if a tour with better dates shows up, I'll switch to that one.
We have been waiting for the Istanbul 7 day city tour for 2026! Saw only one tour scheduled for May 17-23, hoping they would have one the previous week May 10-May 16, 2027, like they did last year! Would like to combine that trip with our cruise on the Adriatic! As referenced above, maybe additional dates will be posted. This would be our 3rd RS tour, love his touring philosophy and his wonderful guides!
I just signed up for the 8 Days Heart of Scotland tour in early August. So happy! I will be traveling with a friend and meeting up with a lovely, congenial friend I met last year on the Eastern France tour. It will be amazing.
are they offering $100 off yet?
Yes! I got an early $100 booking discount.
Matt, leave it to you to spot the tours first! I’ll have to take a look and see if anything looks interesting.
Thanks Andrea, sometimes that OCD pays off !! :)
Wishing you great travels back from Australia, where it's what now ... Sunday local time?
I was soooo hoping they would add a tour of Iceland.
I confirmed that I got $100 savings. Thanks Judy. I remember you from Turkey
And I remember you, Uriengill! Which tour did you sign up for? I booked the 8 Days Best of Scotland tour, August 2-9. Very excited!
I was soooo hoping they would add a tour of Iceland.
I believe I read (here?) that they really can't run these large tours in Iceland due to the small number of accommodation in some of the towns on the Ring Road.
Anyone know how long the early booking discount is in effect?
$100 discount till July 7

Oh thank you for the info Liz!
Hi Judy,
I booked the Central Europe Tour from October 2-16 2026. It's my first time in those countries.
Thanks! We booked a 14 day Greece tour for 2026. I looked often, but you saw them first! We are looking forward to it. It will be our fifth tour.

Wishing you great travels back from Australia, where it's what now ... Sunday local time?”
Thanks Matt. It’s now Friday morning. We have today and tomorrow, then fly home Sunday. We depart Sydney at 10:20 a.m. and arrive at SFO at 6:50 a.m. Does that mean I will be younger when I land than when I take off? Lol!
Wow! Five Scandinavia tours are already sold out for next year! And two more are filling fast!
Wow indeed, Barbara! Scandinavia is not even one of the top 10 selling tours.

The lesson here is book early.
I loved the Berlin Prague Vienna tour, it was my second RS tour.
Someone mentioned that 5 Scandinavia tours are waitlisted- that’s a wonderful tour too!
I noticed that a Heart of Holland Belgium tour is waitlisted.
I would expect the Italy tours to be selling out.
I booked Tuscany in 11 days. My first RS tour.
We are looking forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary on the Berlin to Vienna tour with short extension in Vienna for bike riding.
