2026 next tour (Ireland and Village Italy done)

I’m looking forward to booking a 2026 tour in the next few months.

I’ve done:
Tour #1 – The Best of Ireland 14 days and absolutely loved it. Post trip I went to Amsterdam.

Tour #2 – Village Italy 14 days – coming in neck to neck with Ireland. Pre-trip Venice and post Wengen, Switzerland. That was the perfect combination for me.

I’m on the fence with what next trip could be upcoming.

I love country sides, villages, local food and drink along with longer overnight stays and 14 days. And lastly, being able to have a good post tour option.

What are your thoughts on next tour that would be another show stopper with RS tours?

Thank you...

I've been on 13 RS tours and will take the 14th to Switzerland this June, and suggest you take the Paris and Heart of France tour. It was my very first tour and I fell in love with Paris and France! There is so much to recommend this tour: from the delights of Paris to the chateaux of the Loire Valley and an emotional visit to Normandy and finally, Giverny to feast your eyes and senses on Monet's house and gardens. Go in the spring to get the full effect of Giverny.

I just reread your post and can easily assure you will experience villages, countryside and fantastic food!

If you book before July 7, there is a $100 early booking discount. I hope you can take advantage of that.

Be sure to let us know what you decide!

Have you looked at the Best of Eastern France? I haven't taken this one yet, but I have visited many of the locations on the tour and they are SO lovely. Plenty of French countryside, villages & food & wine.

Eastern France is my choice, as well! We have taken that tour, and it is one that I would gladly take again.

You might also take a look at the Tuscany tour; we haven't taken that one, but the description reminds me a lot of Village Italy.

The Switzerland tour is fantastic , but you have no bad decisions here, so enjoy whatever you choose. Safe travels!

Another vote for the Eastern France tour. Great food, for the most part smaller towns, and you get mountains with the visit to Chamonix.

The best of Eastern France has my vote as well. It was my first of seven RS tours and spoiled me. I love French wine, especially the wines of the Rhone region in the south. The beauty and diversity of eastern France is truly amazing! You can hang out on the Mediterranean or explore more of the Rhone region. I stayed three more days in Lyon, the culinary capital of the world, post tour and took a 2-hour high speed train to CDG to fly back to Seattle. No.8 is the GAS tour this September.

Judy – I will be booking by 7/7/25 to grab $100 savings.

Pat – Switzerland is the country that has had my heart since my 1st trip in 1990.

I’ll have to say, Eastern France is winning so far with your votes. What would be a great pre and post trip for Eastern France?

Thank you all for your comments.

lonmanof3 - Lyon, France post trip appeals to me very much as I'm very much into food (long before the term Foodie came along). Thank you.
