Hi , going on to Portugal- Lisbon-Porto after the RS Spain tour ending in Seville. I'm thinking 3 nights in Lisbon and 2 nights in Porto. Any recommendations on where to stay, transportation, what to see? Anything would be helpful.
Thank you,
Eve

How many rooms? Is that $200-$300 per night per room? US dollars or another kind?
Well Eve, I see its your first time back in 2 years. Here is hoping you get some real help so you hang around this time.
$200 to $300 shoudl get you a pretty nice room in most of the locations you list. But I am not the Spain / Portugal expert so I will wait for one to come along and help. The forum has a couple that know what they are talking about.
But you know you might be better off first asking the question of what neighborhood is prefered for a (list how many nights on average) stay in each of the cities. Then go looking for rooms within your budget in those areas.
My trip report from March might be helpful for the Lisbon part of your trip. I mention my hotel, how I got around, and what I saw and did.

In Lisbon, the BAIRRO ALTO/CHIADO neighborhood is a great central location that will let you see how the locals live and give you quick access to the Rossio train station for any daytrips to Sintra or elsewhere. The Bairro Alto/Chiado neighborhood is just above the central— but very noisy— BAIXA district which is a commercial center. The Santa Justa Elevator and Gloria Funicular both link the Baixa district to Bairro Alto/Chiado.
On the other side of the Baixa district and St. George’s Castle is the most historic part of Lisbon—the ALFAMA neighborhood. This is the charming neighborhood where Lisbon’s famous Tram #28 travels.
Together, the three areas are the most central and most convenient in Lisbon for visitors.
An easy way to shop accommodations is to use the maps on Booking com When you type in “Bairro Alto, Lisbon” then select a property— the map of that property’s location will also show you the rates, ratings and locations of dozens of nearby accommodations
We were just in Lisbon and stayed at the Hotel Avenida Palace, $264 average for 6 nights. It is located next door to Rossi Station, walkable to all neighborhoods. We were 2 people, you would have to check their website for 3.
We also check booking.com for price and Location. Most times we book directly with the hotel.
Thanks all for the tips especially the neighborhoods with easy accessibility to transportation.
