 How true.  Maybe a good reason that a recent Consumer Report's evaluation listed the Spanish olive oil superior to Italian.  Just another example of how the free market is not self correcting.

George, I saw that item in the NY Times and it explained why I seem to be able to buy 1 litre bottles of Extra Virgin olive oil for $4.99 lately. Penny dropped.
