We fly into ZRH at 11am and we'll be staying in Murren. Would it be possible and comfortable to get a quick taste of Lausanne and Chillon before heading up to Murren?
It would be easier to do this if you were flying into Geneva. But it's a 2.5 hour train ride from Zurich airport to Lausanne. It wouldn't leave you much time for museums. IMO it wouldn't be worth it. Instead consider heading to Luzern and from there take the Golden Pass train to Interlaken, and onto Murren.
I didn't think it made sense either, but I wanted to get an opinion. Yeah, it would definitely have been easiest to fly into Geneva with this in mind... Anyway, Zurich to Murren via the Golden Pass is our current choice. So considering our travel is from ZRH to Murren for three nights (with trips to Jungfrao and Schilthorn) and then from Murren to Lake Garda, do you think getting a 4 day Swiss pass makes sense (cheapest at 211sfr)? We're two 25 year olds traveling together. Thanks for your insight.
