We were planning to spend 3 nights (2 1/2 days) in Zurich, but after more reading it looks like most of the sights can be done in a day or so (we arrive 11:00 a.m.). We are not into the party life, mostly interested in history. We've seen much of the mountain country (and other cities, but not Zurich). Are we cutting it too short to try it in 1 1/2 days?

I agree that you could see a lot of Zurich in 1 1/2 days. Is it possible that you play it by ear though? I spend some time each year in Zurich and always find something new. The time of year and the weather would also play into my decision.
