Zimmers/ B and B on the Rhine, Mosel and in Aachen

Does anyone have a favorite B and B to recommend on the Rhine, Mosel, and in Aachen? Compiling a list and will plan from there. May have a car to get to interior villages.

On the Mosel in Beilstein I highly recommend Gasthaus Winzerschenke an der Klostertreppe, www.winzerschenke-beilstein.de. A delightful and authentic B&B along the Mosel in the most pictureque village. If you stay in Bacharach along the Rhine I recom Pension Lettie. very central, squeaky clean, buffet brfast and personable owner Lettie well take gd care of you.pension.lettie@t-online.de.
I hope I can revisit these again soon.

B & B? Almost every place in Germany, even a fairly large Gasthouse, will include breakfast with your room, but that is not the B & B atmosphere I know of. A true B & B would be what is called a Privatzimmer. I know of one very nice PZ in Treis-Karden, on the Mosel a few km north of Cochem. I stayed in another nice PZ in Boppard in 2004, but language could be a problem. In Bacharach, I would recommend im Malerwinkel. I've never stayed there myself, but I saw the outside and was impressed with it's location (lovely setting, in town but away from the tracks), and I've heard good things from those who have stayed there.

In 2010 we stayed at Weingut Reis-Kroth in the town of Briedel on the Mosel. Basement was the winery, first floor was kitchen, living room/breakfast room/lobby and 2 guest rooms with showers, and 2nd floor family bedrooms. They have 2 bikes for rent as well. There are many such places in the valley, we picked this one because of the weekend Strassenweinfest in neighboring town of Puenderich. The least expensive lodging of a 3 week trip, as well as the most relaxing.
