X'mas and New Year in Spain

Hi, I'll arrive in Madrid airport on 12/25. Is there going to be taxi for me to get to the hotel? Any restaurants will be open that day? I'll also spend New Year eve and New Year day in Madrid, anywhere will be open for visit on 1/1? shops, restaurants? Thank you!

There will be taxis, although probably fewer than normal, but the metro will certainly be open. You'll have a challenge finding rest's open on Xmas day. I think most shops will be closed. Last Xmas I flew out of Madrid on Xmas Day....at the airport, only one lonely little coffee bar was open (but doing a pretty stiff business!)

Thank you for the response. It's good to know that metro is still running. How about New Year Day, anywhere that will open for visit?
