Two years ago, I stayed at Pension Spehnkuch in Würzburg. It's fine - simple, comfortable, bathroom down the hall but the price is good for Würzburg. Close to the train station. Free Wifi. We have stayed at the Hotel Residence on the Juliuspromenade. Very nice location, walking only 15 min to Marianplatz. Also close to Main River for a stroll or picnic.
