Does anyone know anything about the World Press Photo Show that opens in Amsterdam in April?
It's one of my favorite things to do in Amsterdam that time of year. On
off years when I can't attend I buy the official book via Amazon.com It's an annual show which displays the best award winning news photos from the past 12 months. The photos are enlarged to poster+ size so they're easy to see even when it can get a bit crowded. They cover the complete spectrum of humanity some are heart breaking, others are heart warming and everything else in between. After the show wraps up in Amsterdam it makes a world tour. Admission is covered by the Iamsterdam card. It's a must see exhibit IMO.
Michael: I can't find info on admission to the WPP exhibition other than that it costs five euros to enter the Oude Kerk. Do you recall if exhibition entry is a separate charge or included in the ordinary entry fee? Or am I just reading the website incorrectly?
The regular admission to the Oude Kerk also covers the photo show....no extra charge.
Thanks, Michael! I really wanted to see the exhibition in 2010 but didn't have time. Hoping to see it this year.
