We are planning to go to Ronda from Granada, then on to Sevilla, but I can't find a train (on Renfe or Bahn.de) that goes or comes from Ronda - doesn't show up at all. What about buses?
Using this DBahn website I was able to find train routes for your journey: http://bahn.hafas.de/bin/query.exe/en When is your date of travel? Maybe it's too far out to display train routes. I did a query for the end of this month.
Thanks - it was really bizarre - Ronda, just wouldn't show up in the list, but it's there now - probably some kind of glitch in the bahn.de system (but couldn't find it on Renfe, either. I was checking for next month, figuring it would be kind of like May as far a frequency Just wondered if Spain had dropped some routes (we ran into that in Greece a year or so ago). thx
The Renfe website is not the best when it comes to planning your itinerary. It doesn't like to show you connections. I also had trouble finding the trains to/from Ronda. They do exist.
The trick with Renfe is to skip the Timetables and Fares function. Use the purchase function( the shopping cart). The drop-down menu shows Ronda. Also make sure you are on Renfe and did not get switched to RailEurope. The Petrabax website has a diagrammof train routes in Spain that is useful for plotting routes with connections.
