We are traveling to Austria on Sunday before the Whit Monday holiday and will be staying for 3 days. Can anyone advise on what we will find closed on Whit Monday- particularly stores, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc. Will the traffic be horrible on the highways in and out of Salzburg on Monday? Thanks kindly.

Stores and shops will be closed but restaurants will be open. I don't know about the traffic but since Monday is the end of a long weekend I'd be prepared for delays. Re tourist attractions, I'd check each individual one but presumably they want to make money off the holiday visitors.
