My husband and I are traveling to Switzerland and Italy for 2 weeks in early May. We plan to fly into Zurich and head to Murren immediately and travel around the Bruner Oberland region for 6 days. We have already been to Jungfrau and Schilthorn and probably won't go there again this time. I am studying which Swiss train pass to buy and am puzzled. Is there no longer one pass which covers all travel in Switzerland, including cable cars and train travel in the Bruner Overland region? After 6 days in Murren we will head to Cinque Terra. But we think we may not need the remaining 8 days there. We could spend perhaps 4 days in between somewhere else. Does anyone have suggestions for an area to see within the Interlaken/Cinque Terra vicinity (or thereabouts) that we should not miss? We want to hike, and enjoy the land's beauty but we also want to sit and just savor life.
