We will only have 2 days in Munich. From all the wonderful things I have heard about it, we will make time for the Deutches Museum. But which Pinakothek should we do? Everyone has many great things to say about Alte; however, Moderne seems to be a very unique experience. What are your thoughts??

I loved the Alte Pinokotech. There are many amazing works of art. It beats the top museums of many country's.
I love everything from medieval art through impressionism. I don't really "get" modern art (I suspect there really isn't anything to get). For me a crack in the floor is something to spend your maintenance budget on rather than stop and ponder the artist's message.
If you're like me, the Alte is the one to visit. If you prefer modern art, however, the Moderne may be the better choice.

That is such a personal question. I like older art, so when I was there I went to the Alte. My daughter and wierdly enough my son love modern art, so we are doing the Moderne this summer. Either way, you can't go wrong.
