Has anyone got first hand knowledge about the Familia Hotel (Latin Quarter) in Paris and the Hotel Eber Mars (near Rue Cler). They are both available for my stay and I need to decide SOON!!!!
I would appreciate your input.
I've never been to either, but placing them on a map, they are both in convenient spots for the sights.
On location alone, I personally would choose the Familia Hotel because I like the Latin Quarter, but that is just my opinion. Plus the Metro choices for different line changes are closer.
I've stayed in the Familia a couple of times and a bunch of others within a few blocks as well. I obviously favor the area since it makes most of the city easily walkable.
Rue Cler is pushing the western fringe for most attractions as far as I'm concerned. I've never heard of the Eber Mars.
Hey Mike and Ed,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly with your input. I have booked a room at the Familia. It seems like a great location for our first visit to Paris.
not to confuse the issue- but my daughter and I stayed at Hotel Minerve right next to Familia and same owner...we were very satisfied and happy that we paid a little extra for the deluxe room -it was more like a suite. My understanding is the Minerve is a "step up" from the Familia.P>S> be sure to get crepes from the small creperie right across the street!
Thanks, Joanne, for the tip about the crepes. Yum!!
