Paris vision has an hour and forty five minute tour for 18 euro without stops-maybe a bad idea now that I think about t but I do want to do the nighttime illuminations tour.any advice?

A boat tour on the Seine with Bateaux Mouches (from Pont de l'Alma) is € 11 (about $14 today), from Eiffel Tower to Ile St. Louis, and lasts 1 hr 10 min. A good and cheaper alternative + a bit more romantic than on a bus.

Batosbus runs the same track with a bunch of stops. An all-day pass is €15. You'll need to check the quiting times, however. It doesn't run after dark in the summer. Last run ends at 9:30 and soltice sunset is around 10:00.

We did a night illumination tour in a mini-van and it was a huge disappointment. Total waste of time and money. Night Seine cruise is wonderful.
